The Most Affordable Colored Laser Printer With 42127401 Toner: Okidata C5200 Printer
The Okidata C5200 printer was first released way back 2004. Instead of a laser beam, the C5200 uses Okidata 42127404 black toner to print. It is one of the most affordable colored laser printers to date. Priced at around $800, this printer can handle heavy workloads. Six years since it was released, the Okidata printer is still one of best there is and let us find out why.
It is important to get a printer that is fast enough to handle multiple users. The C5200 is not always the fastest laser printer around, but its speed is enough to handle most printing jobs. For the monochrome prints, it averaged 24 pages a minute, while for the colored prints it was able get around 16 pages per minute.
Quality is also a very important factor that needs special attention. There are printers that can print 25 or more pages in a minute, but that speed may be the reason for blurriness and smudges. The Okidata print quality for text was excellent. However, the color and photo quality was below average, but it was still able to beat its more expensive counterparts.
An office printer should be cost effective. The average office of 20 to 30 people prints around 30,000 pages in a month's time. Keeping the printing cost down should be a priority. The Oki 42127404 was able to print black and white documents at 2 cents per page, which is actually quite reasonable. The color printing is little steep at 14.1 cents per page.
A major thing that makes the Okidata C5200 printer stand out is its huge 50,000 monthly duty cycle. It is actually twice the value of other colored laser printers in its class. The major paper tray can handle up to 930 sheets, which makes the C5200 a very good corporate printer. It also has an Ethernet port that makes networking a lot easier. Just plug it in to a router, and everyone can get access. There is no need for fancy and complicated software installation. In addition, since it is connected directly to the router, there is no need for a computer to serve as its hub.
The device can handle a maximum resolution of 1200 x 600 dpi for both black and colored prints. If you do need to print on both sides automatically, you can purchase the optional duplexer for around $300. It has a footprint of 13.6 x 16.7, which is about the same size as a big toaseter over. The Okidata C5200 printer weighs a hefty 57.3 lbs. When you look for a place to put it, make sure that it is going to be permanent. Moving it from one place to another is not such an easy task.
The Okidata laser printer is powered by a PowerPC 200 MHz processor and a pre-installed 32 MB RAM. The RAM can be expanded up to 288 MB, which is very useful if your office prints many images. It can also accept almost all kinds of paper.
The Okidata C5200 printer and Oki 42127404 black toner is definitely worth looking at even though it is almost six years old. Even though it has been out for several years, Oki toner is still a highly recommended colored laser printer. Keep costs down by purchasing Okidata C5200 bulk toner from online retail toner outlets.
I have a Dell printer 3010cn which prints normally but with a blank line of about 2cm down the right side of?
every page. Dell have told me it's dirty and how to clean it but that only lasts for 2-3 pages after printing and then it returns to bad priniting. the cyan toner seems to have leaked inside the printer but no excess ink comes off on the paper. is there anyway I can clean this permanently or do I just need to change the toner cartridge?
If the cartridge is leaking no amount of cleaning will stop it and it would need replaced.
If that does not solve the problem, keep bugging Dell. If it is still under warranty you might get them to replace it. If not, you might be out of luck =/
